Sunset over Adam's Creek 30 X 40"

Those who know Wadmalaw, know Adam's Creek;  those who have never been to Rockville are probably unfamiliar.

This large creek/ river, originates off the Bohicket just below Rockville and meanders along the southern aspect of Wadmalaw Island and looks out on the North Edisto River. If one has the opportunity to visit Rockville in the late afternoon, consider driving down the Sea Island Yacht Club  sandy road until it takes an abrupt turn to the left at the marsh. Although the road continues onto the Yacht club itself, it is best to wait as the sun sinks to see this vista; Sun, clouds, marsh and water on most afternoons will impress. One looks over Breakfast Creek which actually originates off the Bohicket and not Adam's creek. Also, take your time as the light and scenery will continue to change as the sun sinks.
