Stormy Afternoon at Long Island 16 X 20"
I happened to put over at the Folly Landing this day, and although prospects were poor concerning the weather, I pressed on. The weather turned foul with wind, rain and clouds. As I worked my way towards lighthouse inlet, I came to associate myself with these islands that sit behind Folly. The storm raged but the islands, accustomed to these squalls, put up a good front and the storm moved over. The sun was on the other side and lit the sky up in an orange hue which contrasted sharply with the blue-green threatening clouds. The tall pines silhouetted themselves against the light so I documented this in this oil painting.
This is an oil painting and is 16 X 20". Weighs about 10 oz
