Still Life Peaches 12 X 12"

Each artist  must learn how to paint a still life and I know that that is a classical subject for young amateurs who dream of becoming a "great painter" some day. Still life subjects test the artist's ability to depict a well known collection of objects and challenges the artist's ability to show colors from direct light and reflected light. These peaches were a challenge as was the bowl they sat in.
