Fog Clearing Big Hole River, Montana 12 X 16'

Inheriting the Fly Fishing gene, I have ventured up to the blue ribbon trout streams of Montana with my family in the past and was struck by the beauty of the landscape there, especially in the early morning.

In this acrylic painting, the "Big Hole" river is far in the background up against a wooded mountainside which is covered with fog;  only to the left can one see enough of the hillside as the fog is clearing there first. Fog also is coming off of the river. The riverplain is covered with various grasses of different colors, at times in rows. Small and medium shrubs dot these flat fields right up to the river.
