Bennet's Point Road View of Ashepoo Ricefield Wetlands 12 X 16"
This 12 X 16" oil painting weighs only 10 oz and displays the abundant wetlands at the old Ashepoo Ricefields an river.
For those who frequent this site, Bennet's Point Road is a well known location for beautiful lowcountry scenery. The road cuts right through the old rice fields as the black water moves in and out with the tidal pressure. These areas were heavily forested by cypress swamps prior to the cultivation of Carolina Gold Rice in the early 18th century.
